Cry for Cthulhu rose from the pits of the almost non-existent metal scence from their home town of Dalby, Queensland in late November 2013. Formed under the name "Release the Kraken", with three members, Liam Brady; face melting lead guitarist and vocals, Chris Atkins; bass and flowing locks of glory and Sam Kersley on the gut busting drums. After playing on well recieved show, the band was told about another US band already flying the Kraken colours. After some thought "Cry for Cthulhu" was settled as the name of the soon to be greatest band in this world and the next. Before the second gig at the same local pub a fourth member was added, Joel Holtham on Earth shattering rhythm guitar, adding a much fuller sound. The band then quickly got into writing their own songs and found success in achieving more gigs in Dalby, Toowoomba and even emerging onto the Brisbane scene. The rest is basically history. If you want to know more, your just going to have to check them out.
